I am Tycho an electrical engineering student in the Netherlands, currently pursuing a pre-masters electrical engineering at the University of Twente.
This website serves as a collection of engineering projects, technical articles and design notes. Most posts focus on analog electronics, embedded systems and measurement techniques. A recurring theme throughout the site is structured design: translating specifications into practical implementations and validating results through simulation and measurement. Previously I worked as a student assistant at the Electrical Engineering department of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where I supported students in laboratory courses and project work. This website is partly inspired by the questions I got from students during my time as a student assistant.
On this website, I publish articles both to deepen my own understanding and to help other students, hobbyists and engineers learn.
Outside engineering I enjoy climbing, sailing and first aid.

Creating my website was partly inspired by my friend Jochem Leijenhorst, who encouraged me to start publishing my own projects and articles online. His website can be found here. Even though it is quite different from mine it is well worth checking out.
